Pianist
vocalist David Crisci performs classic music from the 40's &
50's, "Sinatra" style hits, Jazz tunes and adult contemporary
favorites. He is a superb and highly regarded Pittsburgh pianist
who is a popular entertainer for gala affairs and corporate events
alike. Dave can also perform in a duo or trio ensemble joined by a female
vocalist, saxophonist and/or drummer.In addition, during his breaks
David can provide DJ service and plays a mix of top 40 and adult
contemporary dance tunes in a variety of music styles from a library
of CDs that spans seven decades. Dave's performance includes his
own keyboards and state-of-the-art DJ sound system.

ETTA COX & The Al Dowe Quartet |
Renowned Pittsburgh bandleader Al Dowe and his quartet join the superb Etta Cox presenting a celebration of Cabaret music. Recreating the feel of the cool Harlem Jazz age nightspots, this suburb ensemble entertains with notable jazz tunes from swing, bebop and progressive jazz hits to adult contemporary favorites. Along with a long standing career as a renowned jazz trombonist, Al Dowe enjoyed years of success with his upscale jazz club Dowes On 9th. Etta Cox is one of the most highly regarded vocalists and entertainers in Pittsburgh. Along with winning numerous awards for her work within the arts, she has appeared on Broadway, in movies, in local productions, and has co-hosted a television talk show. Etta and Al have toured with their rendition of the Cotton Club Revisited, and a popular Duke Ellington program, and have recorded a CD at the Manchester Craftsmens Guild called The Sunday Jam. SALSAMBA |
|
Salsamba is a Latin jazz quintet that blends
the traditions of American jazz with the spicy rhythms of Cuba,
Brazil, and the Caribbean - the result is great music that delights
the listener with it’s originality. Based in Pittsburgh,
Salsamba performs at clubs, festivals and colleges throughout
the United States. They have opened for Latin jazz king Tito Puente,
guitarists John Scofield and Stanley Jordan, Steel Pan player
Andy Narell, and flutist Dave Valentin. Salsamba’s CDs,
“Mambo in Blue”, Mambo Del Sol” and “Latinventions”
have received considerable airplay nationwide. The band are featured
performers on National Public Radio’s American Jazz Radio
Festival, which airs nationwide on over 125 stations. This 5-piece band
can also be joined by a female vocalist if so desired.

Continental Dukes are a very lively band comprised
of former Duquesne University Tamburitzans. They play a variety
of European and Eastern European music and have a unique sound

strolling among guests for a more spirited show.

Steel Impressions is an all Steel Drum Calypso

gives them a refreshing, new sound when played with the band’s
own unique flair on steel drum.

Saxophonist Scott Boni attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. Under the tutelage of Berklee's faculty, Scott's musical ability blossomed during his four years of study. In June 1999, Scott graduated Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music. In the years following Berklee, Scott performed as the leader of his own trio and quartet in many of Pittsburgh's finest jazz settings. The Mellon Jazz Festival , the Shadyside Arts Festival, James Street Tavern, Club Cafe, City Theater, Walnut Grill, and Borders Books all served as the setting for Scott's music. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, INPGH Magazine, Pittsburgh Pulp, and the Pittsburgh City Paper all featured articles about Scott.

Kevin is a 2006 GRAMMY nominated musician for his debut album "Solecktions" and an invited performer at the International Accordion Conventions in Las Vegas and Mario Tacca/Mary Mancini's International Accordion Spectacular Show, to name a few. Kevin was featured on PBS Television in a documentary, "Polka Passion", which aired nationwide
in the spring of 2002. He has performed all over the United States,
including Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, and Las Vegas, and has toured
Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, the Caribbean, and Europe, and played on many radio
and television shows, along with the country's top polka festivals, for
private events and cruise ships.

GIPSY STRINGZ |
This quartet plays a soothing mix of Eastern European enhanced by beautiful lyrics sung in foreign languages. The musicians pay
special attention to their vocal and musical arrangements while capturing
the authentic spirit of the music with lovely harmonies in tight accord.
From sentimental selections that express deep emotions to the fast, fiery
traditional tunes, Gipsy Stringz capture the earthy atmosphere of the
Eastern European culture. The ensemble is comprised of member from the
Jerry Grevich's Tamburitza Orchestra, featuring violin, bass, brac and
burgaria ~ the later two instruments are traditional tamburitza versions of
guitars. The engaging quartet can stroll among guests for a portion of the
performance.

A gifted 17-year old vocalist in a country
music vein, Alli’s
talents have received rave reviews, creating quite a buzz throughout
the tri-state area. She had the honor of singing for President
George Bush at a Republican rally, performing to an audience of
13,000, and served as opening act for country singer Lee Ann Womack.
In the past few years, Alli has opened for country artists such
as Trick Pony, Joe Diffy, Mark Chesnutt and Chris Cagle, along
with being a featured performer on KDKA’s Children’s
Hospital Foundation TV special. Alli describes her performance
style as soft, finding inspiration in Womack, Alison Krauss and
local country legend Joe Patrick. Alli and Joe Patrick are well recognized
for their performance of the song “Fallen Heroes”
written not only for the servicemen and women of this country,
but for the firefighters, police and anyone else who has made
a sacrifice for our country.

Though they are best known as Pittsburgh’s
red-hot Swing & Latin Jazz band, Dr Zoot easily switches gears
to crank out a diverse selection of tunes and play a variety of

The 7-piece, all-male ensemble includes horn section (trumpet,
trombone and saxophone), keyboards, drums, upright bass and guitar.

The Clarks are one of Pittsburgh's most popular

are a local band, The Clarks have also developed strongholds in
markets outside of the region, including Cleveland, Milwaukee,
Chicago, Baltimore, DC, and New York. The Clarks have played at
shows for well-known artists such as Steely Dan and 3 Doors Down.
Their songs can be heard in the films "Boys" (with Winona
Ryder) and "Just Write". Over the past year, The Clarks
have performed at over 200 shows.

DONNIE IRIS |

Donnie Iris is an American rock musician known
for his work with The Jaggerz and Wild Cherry during the 1970s,
and for his solo albums during the 1980s. He was responsible for
writing the #2 Billboard hit "The Rapper", with the
Jaggerz, and was a member of Wild Cherry after they experienced
a #1 hit with "Play That Funky Music". After going on
to release five solo albums in the 1980s accompanied with many
charting singles, Iris continues to release new material and tour
in the Ohio River Valley area, and he maintains a loyal fan base,
especially in Pittsburgh.

music. John Lennon's last live performance was at Madison Square

a large scale, big city dance club will all the lights and sounds
found in Studio 54 and hot spots across the globe The lively
sounds of a premier Jazz band will greet guests as they arrive
and will play during cocktails and dinner. As the band’s
performance ends the music immediately segues to the Deejay
and Dancing. The Deejay will play all dance and top 40 hits
from the 50’s through today. Music videos can accompany
the songs, along with live footage of the dance floor captured
by our videographer. It’s like a night-club in a can.
