Art Madness features Artist George Williams painting
portraits set to musical soundtracks. George can customize his performance
to include completion of a single portrait, or he can create multiple
paintings in an extended timeframe.
George Williams is an art teacher at Seneca Valley
Middle School in Pittsburgh, Pa. In 2002 to inspire his students,
George created the “Art Madness” program of painting large
portraits to upbeat music in a short period of time.
The Display was such a success among the students
that the word began to travel around the community, which resulted
in performances outside of the classroom. George has sinced moved
on to perform for fundraising organizations and community affairs
(locally for Cranberry Community Days, Rely for Life, and American
Cancer Society Fundraisers.)
He has produced over
70 paintings, including rock stars, sports figures, patriotic portraits,
and biblical scenes. His paintings are portraits set to musical soundtracks
chosen to relate to the paintings and/or to a theme that highlights
the event. The 3-ft. x 4-ft. portrait size artwork is your to keep.
George’s paintings have been auctioned off at fundraisers or
won by guests attending banquets in a raffle ticket drawing. He can
complete 2-3 paintings within the 60 minute show, completing a single
portrait within the length of 3 to 5 songs.
